LucyWelcome to my site devoted to American Tribal Style (ATS) bellydance; a modern, beautiful, fun and challenging improvised dance format enabling a group to dance together without the need for choreography. I like to think of it as a language; once you know it you can dance with anyone else who knows it; anywhere in the world.

FatChanceBellyDanceATS was created in San Francisco by Carolena Nericcio of FatChanceBellyDance and uses a vocabulary of moves and combinations with specific cues and gestures resulting in a spontaneous, synchronised performance that is different every time.

ATS is highly beneficial for anyone and everyone regardless of size, shape, age or gender; with regular practice many people notice improved posture, co-ordination and overall fitness levels. It is also a very social dance; its beauty lies in the interaction and communication between dancers.

Find me on FacebookIf you are interested in coming to a class please let me know either by emailing lucy@umberlily.co.uk and we can chat about what classes are running locally. You can also contact me via my Umberlily Tribal Facebook group.
