Spaces now very limited - ATS® Drumming and Dancing - Thursday Evenings, 8:40 - 9:40pm, starting 9th February 2012

A chance to dance to live drumming kindly provided by Bear (Alan Williams)

We have performed improv to live drummers before, and Bear and I agree that a simple system would enable us all to flow more easily when doing so.
Over 6 weeks we will look at what we as dancers need from our drummers, which rhythms work and for how long, how to express these through our dance, how to begin and end a performance, maintain audience attention and work together as a team. Plus lots of dancing of course!

If you have wanted to give drumming a try - now's your chance. Also try out some different zil rhythms that we don't play while dancing.

I am offering priority spaces to those students who have performed with me in the past, or who feel ready to try being part of a chorus in a performance situation, but if you would like to come but not be part of the performance then that is absolutely fine (space permitting).
We will be working towards the East Anglian Bellydance Superstars charity show on 17th March, but everything we develop we will be able to use in future performances and at haflas - plus it's going to be loads of fun!

I am really looking forward to adding this traditional element to our dance and hope you will be part of it.
