~ Part 1
Your arms and hands are a frame for your body. We will review hand and arm shaping, gestures and cues and how to use them to add drama and flare to your performance in both slow and fast presentations. Smooth arm transitions and clear cueing will enhance the dance experience for your followers and audience.
~ Part 2
Fast turns and spins are fun for the dancers and audience alike. We will break down and drill Calibrated and Partner Spinning, travelling with fast turns, spins in a circle and during several steps while maintaining our strong arm presentation from Part 1.
15:00 - 15:30 Tea. Another chance to recharge!
~ Part 1 ~ Sharp Moves for Snazzy Swordwork
A test for your balance, posture and core work. Christine and Maxine have a couple of spare swords for anyone who does not have their own. If you have a spare sword please bring it along. Tips: Do not wash your hair on the day of the workshop, alternatively using hairspray on your hair or candle wax on the sword can help stop the sword sliding off. We have ridges cut into the balance point on our swords so that we can find balance quickly which also helps to stop it from slipping about.
~ Part 2 ~ There's Nothing Like Timing
Musicality - Understanding which moves go well with which types of music and why. Then interpreting your music; using timing and phrasing to add drama to your performance.
An evening of dance and a chance to catch up. An exciting line up of performances (I hope)! Please bring a plate of food to share and your own drinks.
Performance slots available, all styles welcome!

About Moirai Tribal
Moirai is a London based dance troupe which specialises in American Tribal Style® belly dance. The troupe consists of Jesse and Philippa; two women drawn together by their love for Tribal and the feeling of connectedness that it evokes. Both have trained extensively with Carolena Nericcio, are certified instructors and a FCBD® Sister Studio. Their dance style is based on group improvisation and movements are inspired by traditional dances from the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. The overall flavour is dynamic and unique, conveying the power and strength of flamenco with the fluidity and femininity of traditional belly dance. Moirai feel privileged to have shared a stage with many amazing dancers and musicians including Carolena Nericcio, Serena and Hossam Ramzy, Shafeek, Ozgen, Hannah Mi, Pedralta, Phil Thornton, Helm and Oojami amongst others.
